Walk-A-Thon
Fri, 05/18/2012 - 9:30am - 2:30pm
Why do we hold a walkathon at Blue Heron Elementary? For health, for fun, for school spirit, for teamwork, and to raise funds for BHE!
Spring has arrived! This means it’s time for Blue Heron’s fifth-annual spring walkathon. For this fundraiser, we are asking students to participate in a walk around the track at Centennial Middle School during the school day. This fundraiser benefits our school and encourages good health—plus, it doesn’t involve the students selling products. Instead, we are asking sponsors to make a one-time donation for student participation in the walkathon.
Grades AM K, all-day K, 1, and 2 will leave the school for the walk at 9:30 a.m.
Grades PM K, 3, 4, and 5 will leave the school at 1:30 p.m
POINTERS
* Students should ask sponsors for a one-time donation for their participation in the walk.
* All pledges and monies are due before the walkathon.
* REMEMBER to have students wear their Blue Heron or Centennial apparel the day of the walkathon to show their school spirit. Hats, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes are also recommended for walk day.
* Students are not required to solicit pledges to participate in this event.
Thank you for your support!
